Juventus striker Cristiano Ronaldo has been named the 2020 Golden Foot Winner just days after he lost the FIFA best player award to Robert Lewadowski.
Cristiano Ronaldo won the 2020 edition of the award after his former teammate, Luka Modric had been crowned the winner last year.
The Golden Foot is an international career award only for football players who are at least 29 years old, who stand out for their sport results both as single players and with their team.
Upon winning the award, Ronaldo took to his official Instagram account to write:
I am honored to win the @goldenfootofficial and to be immortalised on the Champion Promenade in Monaco, together with some of the greatest football legends of all time! I am truly humbled and want to thank the fans all over the world for having voted for me #goldenfoot2020
The five time Ballon d’Or winner was nominated along with Messi, Ramos, Neymar and other stars.
