This is the just-completed Nigeria-Cameroon 1.5km border bridge, It has been 14 years in the making. The idea first came up in 2007.
But it took 10 years for the construction to start due to sourcing for funds. Construction started 28th of April 2017. It costs both countries $35.9 million to construct.
This bridge will facilitate trade between Nigeria and Cameroon. In Nigeria’s drive to connect with all her neighbors to boost trade, It is important to note Nigeria is linking with the Niger Republic to the North by rail.
The Enugu-Cameroon highway is set to be completed before the end of this year.
This is coming at a time Africa is set to trade with itself on a scale never seen before.
