Nigerian lady shares terrifying story of how she was almost raped in her hotel room while on her birthday vacation in Zanzibar

While on her birthday trip in Zanzibar, a Nigerian lady relates her harrowing incident of being almost raped in her hotel room.

Zainab Oldehinde, a Nigerian woman, has revealed how she was almost raped inside her hotel room in Zanzibar, Tanzania, where she had gone to celebrate her birthday.

In a Twitter thread, Zainab said that she landed in the country on April 16, 2021, and that by the night of April 17 into her birthday, April 18, a man had broken into her room, which she thought was locked, and attempted to rape her.

She described herself as horrified as her entire life passed before her eyes as she pictured the man rapping, killing, and dumping her body in the body of water in front of the motel. She claimed that her only saving grace was that she pretended to be HIV positive and agreed to have sex with him if he wore a condom.

According to Zainab, the man left her hotel and promised to return with a condom. She claimed that this was the opportunity she needed to flee the room. The hotel personnel attempted to conceal the incident and accused her of lying, she claimed.
