A man identified as Amadi Moses Nykazi has been accused of brutalizing his wife with a cutlass at their residence in Rumumoi, Rivers State.
According to a source, the father-of-four assaulted his wife of 28 years on Thursday, May 26.
A source familiar with the incident said, “I got news from home that he assaulted my mom.
This has been happening for the better part of their marriage.
He married another woman without divorcing my mom and she decided to report the case to a human rights organization so she can get a share of the properties they both built together.
He has refused to appear to give account so they can share the properties equally.
This man used the cutlass to cut my brother’s finger because he was trying to protect my mum. We’ve invited the police but we don’t want this to be swept under the rug. We need justice for our mother.”
