Jose Peseiro, the new coach of the Super Eagles, has detailed his goals for the team, aiming to return the team to glory.
The Portuguese tactician was just named the three-time African champions’ new head coach, beating out three other candidates: Ernesto Valverde, Philip Cocu, and Laurent Blanc.
Peseiro, 60, is set to take charge of the Super Eagles for the first time when they face Mexico’s El Tri in an international friendly on Saturday, May 28 at AT &T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
On June 2, the Super Eagles will play Ecuador in a friendly at the Red Bull Arena in Harrison.
His first assignment will be to qualify the Super Eagles for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.
He has stated that he is confident the Super Eagles can win the next AFCON.
