The Prelate who addressed a press conference after his church paid N100m to secure his release, had said ” military labor force are abetting the kidnappers who disguise as herdsmen in the day but are kidnappers at night. ”
Kanu contended that the Nigerian Army base in Lomara was working in cahoots with the “ Fulani kidnappers ” that kidnapped him in Umunneochi, Abia State.
Replying to this, Army spokesperson, Brig-Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu said the Methodist Prelate’s allegation is weighty.
