Numerous rumors have circulated regarding the well-known Nigerian author Reno, who is alleged to have asked for a staggering sum of money in exchange for a presidential campaign.
According to a post that has made its way across the Whatsapp network and ended up on the microblogging site, Reno met Peter Obi in London and requested $100K from him to promote his presidential campaign.
However, Peter Obi didn’t grant his request because he wanted to protect the future of Nigerians. He received a mail from Reno the following day which insinuated that his image and popularity will be tarnished.
In reaction, Reno addressed the issue on the bird app and challenged Peter Obi to disclose exactly where he met him in London to demand such an amount of money in dollars.
He claims he has been in Mexico and The Bahamas with his daughter having a very good time. He wrote;
1-This has been circulating on WhatsApp. I challenge @PeterObi to say where he met me in London and I demanded $100k. In the last month, I’ve been on a cruise to Mexico, and in The Bahamas with my 17 year old daughter. I have passport stamps and tickets to prove it
