Kevin Spacey Pleads Not Guilty to Sexual Assault Charges In UK Court

Spacey personally appeared to contest the allegations at the Central Criminal Court of England and Wales, also known as the Old Bailey, in London.

According to the adjudicator, a preliminary hearing scheduled to begin on June 6, 2023, would last three to roughly a month. The adjudicator also acknowledged that Spacey had been granted unconditional bail. The adjudicator announced that there will be a second hearing the following year.

Spacey first showed up under the steady gaze of a British court on the rape charges around one month prior, where he was conceded genuine bail.

He was not approached to enter a conventional request at that meeting, yet his legal counselor said then that he “exhaustingly denies all culpability for this situation.”

After U.K. examiners approved police to charge Spacey in May, the entertainer said in an explanation to Good Morning America that he would have to deal with the penalties in court, and The Associated Press said he had promised to “defend myself.”

Spacey ran London’s prestigious Old Vic Theater for a long time, from 2004 to 2015, filling in as its creative chief.

In 2017, after American entertainer Anthony Rapp claimed that, when he was 14, Spacey got on top of him in a bed, various charges of attack and unseemly way of behaving were made against Spacey, and two years after his takeoff from the Old Vic, the theater said its own examination concerning his direct had drawn 20 charges of improper way of behaving. It said it supported 14 individuals who made the charges to go to the police.

Spacey was addressed by British police in 2019 over claims made by a few men that he had attacked them.

“It seems like Kevin Spacey feels that there’s as yet a chance of restoring himself in this country. In this way, I think the methodology is to come here, acknowledge the cold hard truth, and check whether he can rescue his vocation,” Danny Rogers, a supervisor in the head of PRWeek UK, told CBS News in June.

“He should feel the harm is being finished to ‘Brand Kevin Spacey’ after every one of the charges over the beyond five, or 10 years. Thus, assuming that the harm has been finished, there’s still progress to be made by battling new charges.”

In 2019, examiners in Massachusetts dropped a grabbing body of evidence that was brought against Spacey, who’d confronted a crime allegation of revolting threatening behavior. The lead prosecutor said he dropped it “because of the inaccessibility of the griping observer.”

Spacey was blamed for grabbing a then 18-year-old at a bar three years sooner. The informer said Spacey got him a few cocktails before grabbing him.
