Nigerian striker Asisat Oshoala has missed out on the final three nominees for the 2022 Ballon d’Or award. Asisat, who made the 20 nominees was impressive for Barcelona last season in all competitions.
Asisat Oshoala was also nominated days after being crowned the best African female footballer for the year 2022 and she has now won the award five times.
According to reports Beth Mead, Lena Oberdorf and Alexia Putellas were picked as the final three contenders for the Ballon d’Or.
As things stand now, Asisat Oshoala will have to continue with her impressive performances for Barcelona and Super Falcons and hope that she will win the award in the nearest future.
Asisat won the CAF Women Player of the year Female(2021) after the just concluded WAFCON tournament held some months back.
