Housemate from BBNaija Season 7 Doyin shared her thoughts about education with her male companion Sheggz during a conversation.
She acknowledged the value of education but criticized the nation’s over-reliance on white-collar work.
Doyin, a TV personality, and licensed medical radiographer believe that African parents place an excessive emphasis on schooling at the expense of their children’s other abilities.
Doyin said Nigerian parents only have white-collar jobs and feel skills and talents are more like hobbies.
Citing jobs like photography, modeling, dancing, acting, and movie-making, as very viable careers with high success rates.
She feels it’s archaic to refer to some jobs as “lazy man’s job”.
Doyin went further to stress that any skill, talent or enterprise that can make you successful should be supported and harnessed.
