Carter Efe (born on September 29, 1995, 30 years old) is from Delta State, Nigeria, in the country’s South-South geopolitical zone. He was raised in Delta State and attended both primary and secondary school.
Mr and Mrs Efe, his parents, looked after him and his siblings. Carter Efe grew up in a typical Nigerian Christian family. He continued his education at Delta State University, where he earned a degree in science.

Carter Efe began his comedy career in 2018 and took it to Instagram, an image and video-sharing platform, where he started uploading his various skits. During this time, he began to receive engagement, likes, and attention.

August 11, 2022, Carter Efe made history when his Wizkid tribute song ‘Machala’ with Berri Tiga debuted on the US Billboard Afrobeats Charts.
The song, released on July 29, was originally an ode to the music superstar Wizkid, also known as Ayo Balogun.
The track debuted at the 14th position of 50 on the afrobeat charts, alongside songs by Burna Boy, Tems, Davido, Rema, Master KG, and his idol Wizkid.
The featured artist, Berri Tiga, and Producer X also shared the joy of this achievement, taking to their social media pages to jubilate and engage with their fans.
In partnership with a music festival and global Afrobeats brand Afro Nation, Billboard launched the first-ever United States chart for Afrobeats music in March.
On August 26th, 2022, the Popular comedian turned singer-songwriter, Oderhohwo Joseph Efe, known professionally as Carter Efe, revealed he received millions to shoot a video for his song, ‘Machala’.
The budding singer disclosed this during an Instagram live chat.
According to him, someone had sent him approximately N10 million to support him in shooting the video for his sensational song, “Machala.”
Although he didn’t name the person, he stated, however, that detractors would always make remarks about how Wizkid never supports people.

”For my music video, one person supported me with about Ten million Naira. I am not capping. After you’ll be saying ‘Wizkid no dey support.’”
