“We are all keeping quiet and listening to Asake”- ‘Stray shots’ hit Asake as Dorcas Fapson cries out over rising exchange rate

Actress and DJ Dorcas Shola Fapson used the British Pound as her example and noted that one pound is currently worth roughly 900 Nigerian Naira.

She continued by observing that no one appeared to be concerned about the current circumstances because Nigerians appeared to be more preoccupied with singing Asake’s songs, the current music sensation.

Dorcas Fapson wrote:

Asake fully came into the limelight in 2020 when he dropped Magicsticks which was produced Mr. Money.

Asake released his debut EP, Ololade Asake, a project that boasts of four-hit tracks – ‘Omo Ope’, ‘Sungba’, ‘Trabaye’, and ‘Baba God’. He further performed ‘Baba God’ at a live session organized by Glitch Africa in February 2022.

The YBNL signee collaborated with Grammy Award winner Burna Boy to record the remix of ‘Sungba’. The song was released on March 28 2022 and topped the music charts for several weeks.
