Us-based Nigerian dancer cum singer, Korra Obidi in a recent video has reiterated her stance concerning her split from her ex-husband, Justin Dean.
The mother of two vowed during a Facebook live video that she would not return to her ex-husband, even if she was offered $20,000.
Korra Obidi stated that she is unable to put up with the abuse or stay in a poisonous relationship.
The singer went on to urge women in toxic relationships to leave immediately and give themselves a bit of self-love. According to her, being single doesn’t kill but a toxic marriage or relationship does.
Speaking further, Korra Obidi debunked claims about her being struck by the adverse effect of divorce.
The mother of two maintained that she’s unperturbed and urged netizens to disregard such a narrative.
Korra added that narratives like such are what’s keeping most women in their abusive relationships and marriages because society makes it look like a woman can’t survive without a man.
This comes after the dancer broke down in one of her live videos and urged people never to get a divorce.
She averred that divorce is so unnatural and isn’t for the weak.
