Karim Benzema, a Real Madrid striker who had been absent from the club due to injury, has finally started working out with the Spanish La Liga winners.
Benzema is anticipated to play in Real Madrid’s upcoming La Liga match against Osasuna on Sunday. With four goals in his first six games of the new season, the France international seemed to have carried over from his strong performance from last year.
However, hasn’t played for Madrid since picking up an injury in their champions league game against Celtic earlier this month.
Karim Benzema has revealed that he’s ready to return to the pitch and help his team fight for trophies this season.
“I have done a lot of physical work. I have not touched the ball. Today was my first training,” he said.
“These days I did a lot of running and strength inside the facilities. I also trained at home. I arrived a little late from the holidays and I didn’t have much time to do a good preseason. That’s why I’ve done it now and I feel very good.
“I’m happy to be back with the team. Time has passed and I have had time to do a preseason. I feel very good, comfortable. I want to play on Sunday.”
