Olivia Wilde was (born March 10, 1984), in New York City, as Olivia Jane Cockburn to Leslie Cockburn, the mother, and Andrew Cockburn, the father. She grew up with a younger brother named Charlie Philip and an elder sister named Chloe Frances. Olivia comes from an intriguing family with a long history of gifted artists.

Her mother is an American producer on 60 Minutes and a journalist, while her father, Andrew, is a journalist too. Her father, Andrew, is also the son of British novelist Claud Cockburn who fought alongside Ernest Hemingway during the Spanish Civil War. Andrew was born in London and raised in Ireland.
