At the other end of the table, Aston Villa boldly ushered in the post-Steven Gerrard era with a 4-0 home victory over Brentford, and Leicester City triumphed 4-0 at helpless Wolves. Leeds United fell into the relegation zone after surrendering an early lead to Fulham. Nottingham Forest’s unexpected home victory over Liverpool will put even more pressure on those teams.
