Nigerians have reacted to a video showing France’s President, Emmanuel Macron, being slapped once more during a public walkout.

A woman slapped Macron in the face, according to a video circulating on social media. According to reports, the incident occurred on Sunday, November 20, 2022. Security personnel quickly removed the woman, while another held on to Macron.

It is recalled that the President has suffered the same fate in June 2021 after he was slapped by a man identified as 28-year-old Damien Tarel. Revealing his motive behind the slap, Tarel said he thought about throwing an egg or a cream tart at Macron but added the slap was not premeditated.

Tarel was sentenced to prison for eighteen months, however, fourteen was suspended as he only served four.

While many are of the opinion that Nigerian president Muhamadu Buhari and the presidential flag bearer of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Bola Ahmed Tinubu better known as Emi Lokan deserve the slap, others condemned the action by the woman.
