Man City have difficult opponents to play in January – Guardiola

Pep Guardiola confirms change of Man City’s penalty taker

Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, has admitted that his team cannot afford to lose any more ground to Premier League leaders Arsenal.

The Gunners are eight points ahead of the champions.

City travel to Leeds on Wednesday night, having been pushed out of second place by Newcastle. Guardiola claimed that City’s January schedule is “terrible,” with league games against Chelsea, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, and Wolves.

City also take on Chelsea in the FA Cup and Southampton in the EFL Cup, with Guardiola’s side facing six fixtures in 18 days. Against that backdrop, Guardiola admitted there is no margin for error in City’s pursuit of Mikel Arteta’s table-topping Gunners, who have shown no signs of folding.

“After our defeat against Brentford and with how strong Arsenal are, as well as the opponents who come from behind, we have to be alert and careful,” said Guardiola. “If the distance is bigger, it will be so difficult to catch them.

“We have Leeds and then it’s non-stop. Our schedule in January is terrible in terms of the amount of games and the quality of the opponents. So, we have to restart. This is what we did against Liverpool [in the EFL Cup] and hopefully we can continue.”

Noting how challenging the economy has been, Eniola vowed to find a way to show love and impact the society.

“It’s been a challenging year for us, Nigerians. No other thanks to harsh economy which unfortunately still impacts our basic livelihood.

Nonetheless, we still need to find a way to show love and impact the next person during this season because you never can tell

As a tradition for me in the past 5 years, and with kind support from my favorite brands, we would visit a good number of less privileged homes on the mainland and island to show love……”.
