Nigerians Attack Tinubu, Shettima As Obasanjo’s Advice Against Buhari’s Govt. Resurfaces (video)

A video of former President Olusegun Obasanjo advising Nigerians not to reinforce failure ahead of the upcoming presidential election has elicited a variety of responses online.

In the video, the former president criticizes President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration for offering excuses rather than solutions to the country’s problems.

“If there were no challenges, then you don’t need to come. You came in because you know there were challenges. The first thing I learnt during my training is that you don’t reinforce failure. What we have now is failure, never you reinforce it.”

Reacting to the video, Nigerians called out the presidential candidate of Buhari’s political party, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate, Kashim Shettima.

According to many comments, if people are to heed to Obasanjo’s advice, then Tinubu and Shettima should never become president because the APC has failed.

@CraokerPro: “Don’t reinforce failure”
The APC clearly failed, bat supporters don’t have to punish the rest of us for it. Please.”

@AbimIsrael: “As old as this man is, see how agile he still is. He’s not talking in the Bala Blu Blu Blu Bulaba. He’s still making coherent statements. He doesn’t need people to guide him to a stage or down the stairs. APC is a failure. This affliction will never rise again.”Screenshot 20221201 0950542 compress5

Recall that Olusegun Obasanjo had cautioned the supporters of Bola Tinubu over the claim that he had endorsed the latter.

Obasanjo, who expressed dissatisfaction with what he described as an unauthorised report of the discussion at the closed-door meeting he held with the former Lagos State governor, noted that the meeting was more brotherly than political.

“Those claiming to be insiders at the meeting issuing statements on the discussion and those crediting to me statement I had not made are enemies of the visitor and are not doing the visit any good,” Obasanjo said.
