JUST IN: EFCC re-arrests ex-JAMB registrar, Dibu Ojerinde

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has arrested Dibu Ojerinde, a former Joint Admission and Matriculation Board registrar (JAMB).

According to reports, Jimoh Olabisi, former JAMB deputy director, claimed in court on Wednesday that the former registrar used him to divert federal government funds.

Olabisi, an ICPC witness, testified before the Federal High Court in Abuja.

On July 6, 2021, the ICPC charged Ojerinde with 18 counts of alleged misappropriation of funds totaling N5.2 billion.

The commission alleged that the former registrar committed multiple fraud while heading JAMB and the National Examination Council (NECO).
