The massive crowd that thronged the road to the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign rally in Kano on Wednesday, January 4, surprised many Nigerians.
Deji Adeyanju, a human rights activist, responded to the overwhelming video on Twitter, saying, “The APC rally in Kano is massive. It’s as if Kano residents want more APC dividends. Enjoy yourselves, I am overjoyed for you.”
According to reports, over 3 million Kano citizens thronged the road between the Kano Government House and the stadium, stranding Bola Ahmed Tinubu in an open truck for more than two hours before reaching the campaign venue.
This is complete shutdown, Kano is for APC, Kano is for Tinubu. All the streets leading to Sani Abacha Stadium, the venue for Tinubu/Shettima presidential campaign are totally blocked by supporters of our great party. pic.twitter.com/D2MDiQ031v
