Obasanjo bags hat-trick in college old boys football tie

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo led the football team of Baptist Boys High School (BBHS), Abeokuta, in a football novelty match play on Monday as part of the college’s 100th anniversary celebrations.

Obasanjo, a former student of the school, was the main attraction for the audience, many of whom were also former students.

In the novelty match, which pitted former college students against former school teachers, the former president scored a hattrick to help his team win 3-0.

Bukola Olopade, a former Sports Commissioner in Ogun State, and Hakeem Akintunde, the state’s Chairman of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), are two notable old students in the game.
