“Please tweet what we will understand” – BBNaija’s Prince Nelson sends message to South Africans

Prince Nelson Enwerem, a former Big Brother Naija housemate, has sent a strong message to South Africans as the first season of Big Brother Titans begins.

Big Brother Titans, the first of its kind, premiered yesterday, Sunday 15th January 2023, with twenty housemates; ten from South Africa and ten from Nigeria, according to Kemi Filani.

South Africa, a country once engulfed by apartheid, also known as racial segregation, is known to tweet in English and then divert to other native languages not understood by people from their country. It’s important to note that South Africa has eleven official languages.

Reacting to the manner in which they write, Prince Nelson appealed to them to tweet in a way everyone would understand.

He wrote: “As the show have started… South Africans abeg tweet what all of us will understand… don’t start with “oh yemi and Nelisa were in the pool” and then disappear into “jokdgwk sibtye haibo hebanna like bathong”🙄 #BBTitans”.Screenshot 20230116 1025114152
