The contempt case against Afia Schwarzenegger has finally been decided! The court heard the case today, January 31st, 2023, in order to resolve it.
For contempt of court, Afia Schwarzenegger was fined GHC 60,000.
As part of the sentence, she was barred from using social media for two years!
She is required to refrain from using social media after paying her GHC 60,000 fine.
According to reports, Afia is currently detained by police because she has yet to pay the GHC 60,000.
Mr Chairman Wontumi sued Afia Schwarzenegger for contempt of court months ago after she dragged him on live TV.
Afia chose to roast Chairman Wontumi on the United Showbiz program as she discussed their romantic relationship with host, Nana Ama McBrown and other panellists including A Plus, Mr Logic, Arnold Asamoah and others.
Unhappy Chairman Wontumi dragged Afia Schwarzenegger, McBrown, Mr Logic and A-Plus to court for contempt as the case was already in court.
McBrown, A Plus and Mr Logic were all fined GHC 60, 000 each but Afia Schwarzenegger was sentenced as she missed court proceedings.
Her jail sentence was revoked after she publicly apologised to the court.
Finally, the case is settled; she has been fined GHC60,000 and banned from social media for 2 years.
