Mercy Aigbe, a Nigerian actress, recently addressed the trend of some former governors in Nigeria returning to the Senate.
The actress couldn’t help but address the issue, questioning whether government is their inheritance and stating that positions require fresh perspectives.
Mercy Aigbe further suggested that a policy be put in place to ban all ex-governors from running for office again while stating that they all go to occupy government positions just for their selfish interests.
“What I don’t understand is all these Ex-Governors going back to Senate! Is government their inheritance? What is it? Abeg we want fresh minds!!! I think a policy should be put in place to ban all ex governors from running for office again jare! All of them kuku just go there for their selfish interest! Enough already!”
The actress further explained that it is best to start getting it right from the legislative arm of government if we want to get it right with the presidency.
