According to reports, the Finnish authorities arrested prominent Biafra agitator Simon Ekpa on Thursday in Finland.

According to HS, a Finland News outlet, the police escorted the separatist agitator out of his apartment in Lahti, with his arrest coming just 48 hours before Nigeria’s 2023 general election.

Ekpa and his Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) faction have recently spoken out against Nigeria’s unity, claiming that there will be no elections in the country’s south-east and that the Republic of Biafra must be established.

Ekpa and his group have been accused of being responsible for the majority of recent violent activities and murders in the country’s south-east.

The platform claimed that they had gone to Ekpa’s residence for an interview but to their surprise, the Finland police, KRP, answered when the HS team rang the separatist bell.

The HS said the KRP prevented their team from entering Ekpa’s apartment and said that the interview would be moved “to the future”.
