A journalist with Arise TV was reportedly attacked by political thugs while covering the ongoing governorship and house of assembly election at Elegushi palace in Lagos state.
The journalist has been identified as Opeyemi Ademihun and it was alleged that he was brutally attacked at the palace.
They were reportedly stopped from leaving the area and their drone and camera were allegedly seized.
Journalist Samzy who shared the report, tweeted;
“Situation Report : Opeyemi Ademihun of Arise TV has been Brutally Attacked at Elegushi Palace Drone and Camera has been seized They refused them to leave.”
The claim was corroborated by Arise TV host, Rufai Oseni who tweeted;
“Arise crew attacked in Elegushi. People Issue threat and no one is arrested but the Arisetv crew was attacked and arrested in ikate!”
