David Adeleke, professionally known as Davido, a famous Nigerian Afrobeats musician, has spoken about those he has lost through death, describing them as true legends he will always remember.

He stated that true legends can never die and that even though they are no longer physically present with him, he still feels their spiritual presence around him.

Davido’s new album, Timeless, was released today, March 31st, according to reports.

Speaking in an interview with Beat FM, the popular singer said that legends can never die even though they are no longer with him physically, but he still senses their spiritual presence around him.

Saying that everybody knows that he lost his mother at the age of 10 and lost his best friend and bodyguard between 1 to 2 years and not too long lost his only son.

Saying that he doesn’t feel that the song is sad but since he has lost them he didn’t want to feel like they have left him spiritually but wants to feel their presence. Adding that, it is the only reason he said that Legends can never die, to feel that they are around him.

”Like over time. Even everybody knows that I lost my mother at 10. Losing my best friend and my bodyguard in one to two years, and then losing a child and all that together.

I don’t think the song is really sad. I just feel like since I have lost all of them, I don’t want to feel like they have left me spiritually. I still have them around me a kind of. They were all legends. So that’s why I say that a legend never dies.,”
