“I Was Told That Gun Was Pointed At A 60-Year-Old Man For Him To Vote For A Party” – Oseni Rufai

The 2023 General Elections, which included the Presidential, National Assembly, Governorship, and State House of Assembly elections, have come and gone, and one of the questions that Nigerians are asking is whether the process was free, fair, and credible.

Oseni Rufai, the Arise Presenter, has spoken about the INEC elections in a video that is being aired live on Arise on YouTube.

According to Rufai Oseni, the election was marred by voter intimidation and violence, and that despite INEC’s assurances that the election would be free and fair, thugs took over some polling units by inciting violence.

According to Oseni Rufai, a gun was pointed at a 60-year-old man, forcing him to vote for a specific political party.

In his words, he said in parts:

“Guns were pointed at people, they had to vote at gun point. Somebody told me a story of a 60-year-old man that gun was pointed at and told to vote for a particular party.”
