INEC declares Tinubu winner of 2023 Presidential election (Video)

2023 Elections: Tinubu the best person for Nigeria – Lalong

The All Progressives Congress candidate, Bola Tinubu, has been declared the winner of Saturday’s presidential election by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

After days of collation of results from across the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory, Tinubu polled a total of 8,794, 726 votes, according to the Commission’s Chairman, Mahmood Yakubu, who announced the final result at exactly 4.10 a.m. Wednesday, March 1.

His closest rival, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, received 6, 984, 520 votes, while Peter Obi of the Labour Party received 6, 101, 533 votes to finish third. The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPPRabiu )’s Kwankwaso has 1,496,687 votes.

Mahmood said the Certificate of Return for Tinubu and his running mate Kashim Shettima, will be issued by 3pm today, March 1.
