The New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, Candidate for governorship , Abba Yusuf defeated the All Progressive Party in Kano State’s governorship election on Saturday.
The NNPP’s Abba Kabir Yusuf received 1,019,602 votes, while the APC’s Nasir Gawuna received 890,705 votes.
On Monday morning, Prof Ahmad Doko Ibrahim, the Returning Officer of the Independent National Electoral Commission, declared Yusuf the winner of the Kano gubernatorial election.
