Nigerians are ecstatic as Peter Gregory Obi keeps his promise to Ms Gimba Sophia, a graduate he met who couldn’t afford to buy an oven worth 75,000 Naira.
Peter Obi held an international press conference to address the results of the Presidential election held on February 25th, in which the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Bola Tinubu president-elect.
While he confirmed he will be taking legal action after losing the election, Peter Obi burst into tears as he recalled meeting a graduate by the name Ms Gimba Sophia who couldn’t afford an oven to start her baking and confectionery business.
While many are of the opinion that Peter Obi is very passionate about the country and its citizens, others slammed him and alleged that he is looking for sympathy.

In a new development, Pete Obi took to his Instagram page to reveal that he has fulfilled his promise to the graduate to help her acquire an oven to kick start her business.
Obi further revealed that Ms Gimba Sophia would purchase a Nigerian-made oven, an act that effects the process of production to consumption in a working economy.
Sharing pictures of the cheque presentation, He wrote: “Today, I fulfilled my pledge to assist Ms Gimba Sophia Emmanuel in her aspiration to acquire an oven and start her baking and confectionery business. Interestingly, she had indicated that she would procure a Nigerian made oven, thus enhancing the value chain and putting into effect the production to consumption mantra.”
