“At the age of three, I can’t really say I knew I wanted to be an actress. I just knew I enjoyed it, and I was good at it. My primary school teacher when I was three was Karachi Dimbo Atiya and right now she is a writer on ‘Sons of the Caliphate’. I remember back then she would tell my mum to make sure I go for auditions when I’m older. When I got older, my mum had this show that she was always obsessing over.

“We were watching it one random evening and they talked about auditions. I can remember pressing her that I wanted to go. I think it was a thing I just wanted to do because I wanted to know how it felt. But then, once I started getting the hang of it, I realized that this isn’t a hobby anymore, I really want to go into it.
