Tonto Dikeh, Rivers State African Democratic Congress (ADC) 2023 deputy governorship candidate, has taken to social media to react to the opposition party’s failure to secure a victory in the Rivers State gubernatorial election held on Saturday.
Recall that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced a few days ago that Rivers State PDP 2023 Governorship candidate, Siminialayi Fubara, had won the Rivers State Governorship election after receiving the most votes in the state.
Following ADC’s defeat in the Governorship election, Nollywood veteran actress Tonto Dikeh took to her official Instagram page to say that the 2023 general elections have been an incredible journey filled with both triumphs and disappointments and that she is grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of all the elections.
Tonto Dikeh went on to express her gratitude to everyone who supported her during her party’s campaign, adding that she will continue to fight for them in any way she can.
Tonto Dikeh went on to say that as a woman, she understands how difficult it is to participate in politics and that women should support one another regardless of political affiliation.
The businesswoman then stated that as the 2023 general elections conclude with a newly elected leader in Rivers State, let everyone prioritize peace and prosperity of the state, adding that together they can make a difference.
Tonto Dikeh finally announced that she is not giving up yet.
