When it comes to identifying a person in Nigeria, generalization goes a long way. This is certainly the case with the latest Big Brother Titan reality star, Blaqboi, who revealed his ordeal in trying to establish his identity to other contestants in the Biggie’s House, claiming that he is not a Hausa man.
The reality star in his disclosure shared a tweet that reads ” in the BB house I tried to make it clear that I am not Hausa and I come from a rich tribe known as Mupun, Somehow it was easier explaining to the South African housemates than the Nigerian house mates, This is because for a lot of Nigerians, there is a preconceived notion already. ” He disclosed in a tweet that showed how much he doesn’t want to be mixed up.
There is no denying that telling Nigerians where you are from can be a difficult task, as there is this misconception that every Nigerian belongs to the three major ethnic groups that usually dominate the country, which is not the case, given that there are hundreds of ethnic groups in Nigeria that are subsidiaries of the major ethnic groups in Nigeria.
