Davido, the “Timeless” hitmaker, has expressed pride in Rema and identified him as one of Nigeria’s major Afrobeat singers.
During a radio interview on Kiss FM in the United Kingdom, the female host asked Davido about his thoughts on the Afrobeats movement, prompting Davido to express his joy and admiration for fellow artist Rema.
He recalled Rema hanging out in his living room as a young boy, and how quickly he rose to fame with the most popular Afrobeat song in history.
Recall that some weeks back The 22-year-old singer was recognized by two of Football’s biggest players, Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar.
Cristiano Ronaldo had taken many by surprise as he shared a video of three of his kids dancing to Rema’s song, Calm Down.
The record-breaking footballer shared the video with his 555 million followers via his Instagram story.
Neymar, had also taken to his social media page to share a video of him vibing to the singer’s song, as he revealed that he was still recovering.
“Recovery and CS go”, he captioned the post.
An excited Rema had taken to his Instagram page to repost Cristiano Ronaldo’s story.
Expressing gratitude, he wrote, “Ah Baba mi thank you oo”.
