The Ooni of Ife has written a spiritual note to commemorate one of his daughters, Princess Adewamiwa, who turns 16 today, April 20, 2023.
The delighted father showered her 16-year-old daughter with heartfelt prayers, hoping she would be preserved and live long enough to do great things comfortably.
The birthday message in Yoruba dialect is loosely translated as follows: lójó b, Adéwámiwá m nirà, olórire m, léyinj àán, mo dpé l’wó Olódùmarè fn gbés ayé, tt di àkók y, láti j t o ti dé ayé.
God will preserve you for us; you will live long and comfortably; you are 16 years old today; God will keep your life for me; you will live and do great things comfortably. So you’re going to be there!!
