Early Life
Peggy Ovire (born October 22, 1985, 40 years old) is from Ughelli Delta State, South-South Nigeria.
Despite being the youngest of her parents’ six children, she was not lavished with attention. Her father was a strict disciplinarian, so she did not receive preferential treatment as the lastborn in the family.
Education
Ovire attended Itire Nursery and Primary School in Surulere, Lagos State, and AUD Secondary School in Surulere.
Ovire began her postsecondary education at Delta State University, Abraka, but later transferred to Ambrose Alli University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Banking and Finance.
Career
Peggy Ovire explained in an interview with The Punch, a print media outlet, that she began her career as a model before making her Nollywood debut. She was named the Most Beautiful Girl on Campus (2003) at Delta State University.
She was also the winner of the Miss Nigeria Galaxy beauty pageant in 2006. She was also named “Most Promising Actress Of The Year” at the 2015 City People Entertainment Awards.
Aside from acting, Peggy supplements her income through her business ventures; she owns a clothing boutique in Lagos called Hubs Contour and is the Chief Executive Officer of Peggy’s World. She went on to say that Uche Nancy produced her first film.
Ovire Peggy’s film career took off after she appeared in the TV series Husbands of Lagos. Ovire claimed that the TV series helped her gain notoriety and that she had become well-known outside Nigeria. She was a member of the Rising Sun cast crew alongside Ifeanyi Kalu.
