During a botched heist in Rio de Janeiro, Brazilian influencer Luanne Jardim was fatally murdered in front of her partner and their two-year-old son. Jardim and her boyfriend, Joo Farche, were attempting to flee from the suspects in a high-speed chase when the incident occurred. Jardim, 33, was hit on the shoulder while their kid, Miguelzinho Farche, saw the heinous crime. Despite being taken to Salgado Filho Municipal Hospital, Jardim died as a result of her injuries.
The event is being investigated as an attempted robbery by the Rio de Janeiro Military Police. Atanael Jardim, Jardim’s father, feels his daughter was targeted and executed on purpose. He stated his conviction that this was not a simple heist, adding that shooting someone from within a closed automobile did not fit a conventional robbery scenario.
According to a police report, the suspects initially shot at the rear of the vehicle and then approached from the side to shoot Jardim again. The tragic event occurred approximately 15 days after Jardim had exchanged her Porsche, equipped with bulletproof windows, for a different vehicle without armored protection.
As of Tuesday afternoon, no arrests had been made in connection with the incident. Jardim’s untimely demise has left behind not only her boyfriend and son but also a 10-year-old daughter. She gained social media popularity after overcoming a history of domestic violence in 2019, as well as her struggles with obesity and depression.
