Ex-Heavyweight champion, Doentay Wilder Arrested

Popular  American professional boxer and former Heavyweight Boxing Champion, Doentay Wilder has reportedly been arrested.

The 37-year-old was apprehended on Tuesday over alleged possession of a gun following a routine traffic stop in Los Angeles.

Officers were reportedly doing their routine work in Hollywood around 1:15 a.m. when they noticed Wilder’s Rolls-Royce had illegally tinted windows that blocked the license plate.

Officers claimed to have detected an odor of burnt marijuana during the stop, prompting them to search the boxer’s vehicle.

During the search, officers discovered marijuana and a handgun. According to TMZ, Wilder was arrested and booked on a charge of concealing a weapon.

Shortly after his arrest, Wilder dropped a cryptic message on his Twitter page which reads:

I’d rather be safe than sorry. The End.
