Popular American singer, Chris Brown has disclosed that he plays Nigerian afrobeats music when he is not playing his own songs.
Chris Brown revealed this in a recent episode of the Million Dollarz Worth Of Game podcast.
He also noted that the genre deserves all the global accolades it’s getting.
He said, “If I’m not playing my music, I play Afrobeats. I love how the genre is blossoming and all the recognitions is dope.
“I have been listening to [afrobeats] for a while. Me and Wiz [Wizkid] we got like an afrobeats-type song on my album [Breezy].”
Chris Brown has worked with many Nigerian afrobeats singers including Wizkid, Davido, Rema, Fireboy, and Lojay.
He won the Best International Act at the 2022 Nigerian music award show, Headies Awards.
