On Sunday, there was fear at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja after a Max Air plane crash-landed along the airport’s runway.
The incident happened around 3:00 p.m., and no one was killed.
According to airport sources who begged not to be identified because they were not licenced to talk on the topic, the event has grounded numerous planes into and out of Abuja.
“Our aircraft that was supposed to leave for Abuja has been delayed because the runway at the Abuja airport is being fixed due to the incident,” another airport source told Newsmen, adding that other flights have been instructed to do the same for the passengers’ safety.
It was also gathered that all passengers aboard the affected Max Air flight, which took off from Yola, disembarked safely along the runway and were conveyed to the airport building.
