Lionel Messi’s father and agent, Jorge Messi, has responded to reports that his son has agreed to relocate to Saudi Arabia after this season.
Messi is in the final year of his contract with Paris Saint-Germain and has no plans to renew, especially after getting into controversy for disrespecting the French club.
At this point, a return to Barcelona has been mentioned as a possibility, while a move to Saudi Arabia is seen as more likely considering the staggering sum of money Al Hilal is willing to pay Messi.
Earlier on today, notable sports publications like Daily Mail and SPORTbible all claimed that Messi’s proposed move to Al Hilal is a “done deal”, but the player’s father has now come out to debunk those rumors.
According to Jorge, there’s absolutely nothing agreed with any club for next season, adding that they will decide once the season ends.
