Jesus did didn’t get his credit while alive, so who am I to complain – Burna Boy

Burna Boy, a Nigerian Grammy winner, has stated that despite being “the best in the world,” he does not receive enough accolades.

He claimed this after performing with Nigerian-British show promoter Adesegun Adeosun Jnr, aka Smade, and podcaster Adesope Olajide, aka Shopsydoo at the Afronation event in Portugal.

In a viral video, Smade praised Burna Boy, stating he doesn’t receive enough credit, but the African Giant responded by comparing himself to Jesus.

The ‘African Giant’ remarked that he is unconcerned about not getting enough credit because Jesus didn’t get his till after his death.

Burna continued by saying that he appreciated people affirming his status as the top artist in the world.

Shopsydoo also said it’s no longer just about Afrobeats but about achieving worldwide domination in the music industry.

Shopsydoo added: “It’s not about Afrobeats anymore, it’s about worldwide domination.”

Smade said; “Burna, you keep blessing us mehn. No, you don’t get your credits enough bro. You’re the f*cking best in the world.”

Burna Boy responded: “No, I don’t [get enough credits]. Jesus also didn’t get his own credits till he died, so who am I? [Laughs]”
