Early Life
Caroline Chikezie Holmes (born 19 February 1974). Chikezie was born in England to Nigerian Igbo parents. Chikezie was transferred to a boarding school in Nigeria when she was fourteen in an attempt to convince her to renounce her dreams of being an actor.
Education
She had gone to Italia Conti for weekend sessions. When she returned to the UK, she enrolled at Brunel University to study Medicinal Chemistry (she was supposed to take over her father’s hospital in Nigeria) but dropped out. She later received a scholarship to the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts in the United Kingdom.
Career
Chikezie received her first major part as caustic Sasha Williams in As If in 2001, after roles in Holby City, Casualty, and the award-winning British film Babymother. In Series Three of Footballers’ Wives, she secured a regular role as Kyle Pascoe’s girlfriend, Elaine Hardy. 40, Judas Kiss, Free Fall, and Brothers and Sisters are among his other television credits.
She appeared in “Cyberwoman,” an episode of Torchwood, as Lisa Hallett, a member of the Torchwood secret organization who had been changed into a half-human half-Cyberman, and as Tamara, a fellow demon hunter, in the third-season opener of Supernatural. In the second season of Shannara Chronicles, she played Queen Tamlin of Leah, a recurring role.

“My dad was a doctor and viewed education as everything.
“He was horrified that I wanted to pursue a profession that he didn’t see as requiring intellect.”
“I was incredibly lonely; I couldn’t eat or drink for ages as I just felt so distressed,” she says.
“In the end, I threw myself into my studies and did really well, which pleased my parents.”
“I still didn’t know whether they’d let me until I got home to find my mum looking dazed,” she recalls.
“She said my principal had called to say I had something special and that she should allow me to pursue it. She gave me her blessing, and that was a real turning point.”
“Waiting to audition, I noticed I was the only black girl there,” she laughs. “I carried on reading my lines, but it transpired that I was auditioning for the part of Charlize’s sister Una, which was never going to work.
“I’d stayed up all night learning my American accent, so I asked to audition anyway.
“I had no nerves as I knew I’d never get the part, but I was keen to make a good impression.
“Amazingly, they asked me to meet the director. I literally floated home, and a week later, I got a new part as Freya.”
