The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has granted commercial banks licenses to freely trade at any rate in the foreign exchange market.
This decision came amid the suspension of CBN Governor Godwin Emefiele.
Commercial banks will now freely sell foreign currency at market-determined prices.
On Wednesday, the naira is trading around N750-N755 per dollar in the investors and exporters (I&E) window.
