South African artist Bongani Mohosana, also known as Murdah Bongz aka Mörda, turned 36 on Thursday 8 June and celebrated with close friends and family at an all-black themed party, as shown in Instagram images – at the celebration, DJ Zinhle recounted how they met.
The Colours singer may be seen on stage giving her speech at her husband’s birthday party.
She told the partygoers a short narrative about how she met the former Black Motion band member as part of her speech. DJ Zinhle was overheard saying,
“So this guy told me…arg, my gosh, now I have to perform in front of Black Motion. F*** my life. You know that day I told myself you are a star, my baby, you are going to perform my baby. So I went backstage and I found him sitting with some girl.”
Mörda and DJ Zinhle have a one-year-old son named Asante, DJ Zinhle’s second child. The fashionable mother had previously been romantically linked to the late rapper AKA—real name Kiernan Jarryd Forbes—who died earlier this year. On February 10, he was shot and killed outside the Wish restaurant in Durban. The ex-lovers had an on-again, off-again relationship but had a solid co-parenting connection with their daughter Kairo.
DJ Zinhle has remained close to the Forbes family since AKA’s murder, to the point where people accused her of disregarding her spouse and tradition.The Umlilo hitmaker has since responded to critics who think she spends too much time with the Forbes family and not enough time with Mörda’s family.
“I don’t get why South Africans are so scared of getting along. I think for a lot of South Africans it would have given them so much comfort if Kiernan and I never got along,’ the Indlovu hitmaker was quoted as saying.
Nonetheless, after hearing DJ Zinhle’s speech at the party, fans were convinced she was not compatible with Mörda. Instead, they claimed that she was merely putting on a show.
