President Bola Tinubu has disclosed that before moving to Chicago to enroll in the Richard Daley College, he worked as a cab driver in the United States of America.
Tinubu claimed that when he was a taxi driver, a military commander slapped him for overcharging him for a taxi service he provided.
Tinubu stated that he was employed at the airport, picking up clients and transporting them to their destinations. A navy officer once got into Bola Tinubu’s cab and asked the driver to drop him off at his residence.
Tinubu claimed that because he was unsure of the route’s length and there was no GPS technology available at the time, he gave the man an arbitrary fare estimate.
Bola Tinubu claimed that the man slapped him and told him not to overcharge him as soon as he told him the cost of the trip. Bola Tinubu clarified that the man slapped him before later paying him.
