Early Life
Abdulrasheed Bello, aka JJC Skillz (born 4 April 1977, 48 years old), is a Nigerian songwriter, rapper, record and television producer. He was born to Mr. and Mrs. Bello in Kano State. He is the middle child of a family of thirteen children. Skillz’s mother was a Christian, and his father was a Muslim, so he reportedly is not overly religious.

Because of this, he could never devote sufficient attention to any of them. He attended churches even though he was born a Muslim. He went to primary and secondary schools in his hometown before graduating from the University and leaving Nigeria. JJC Skillz left Nigeria for the United Kingdom at the age of 14 to pursue his schooling and musical ambitions.
Career
Listening to his father’s collection of country records and juju music sparked a lifelong passion for and love of music in JJC Skillz, who started his music career at the age of 14.
After discovering hip-hop in the United Kingdom, he and a friend formed a band and started playing local talent shows. His stage name, JJC, is an abbreviation for “Johnny just come,” a phrase commonly used by Nigerians to refer to newcomers.
Bello’s initial significant producing endeavor was establishing the Big Brovas record label and collective.
His first album with the 419 Squad, Atide, was released in 2004. Some of his produced songs include Ijoya by Weird MC, Pu Yanga by Tillaman, and Morile by Buoqui.
He also appeared on the African music scene, working on genre-blendings like Afropean (a combination of Afrobeats and European classical music).
The Nigerian Entertainment Award named him the greatest international artist in 2013.
He founded the JJC and the 419 Squad, two formidable African organizations. In 2014, they won the Kora All-African Music Award.
