In light of the likely arrival at Old Trafford of Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana, Manchester United have reportedly reneged on their contract deal with David de Gea.

Man United has taken action to try to sign Onana, and they hope to get a £43 million deal done for him.

Manchester United retracted their offer to De Gea after he had signed a new contract with the club.

According to The Athletic, who has now clarified De Gea’s future at Old Trafford, that is the case.

According to reports, De Gea was willing to accept a large pay cut from Man United in order to stay longer.

The 32-year-old’s current contract expires this summer, although Man United have the option to extend it for another 12 months.

But now Man United are reducing the salary offer even further as they continue to target Onana.
